Originally the Department of Dentistry of Postgraduate Education Institute under KazNMU was established in 2011 as a dentistry course (Order No959-L dd 28.04.2011). On 29.11.2011 the University Academic Council decided to reorganize this course into an independent department of dentistry that started from January 4, 2012. Mr. Negametzyanov N.G., M.D., has been appointed as a Head of the Department. The Department also included professor Supiyev T.K., M.D., Honoured worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Professor Mamekov A.D., M.D.; Associate Professor Valiyeva R.M., Candidate of Medical Science; Katasonova E.S., Candidate of Medical Science; Atezhanov D.O., Candidate of Medical Science; Mrs. Duysembayeva M.T., Assistant, Doctor of Stomatology of Higher Category. As a secondary job employees specialists well-known in the Republic and leading scientists of the country are attracted (Professor Kurakbayev K.K., M.D., Professor Aldasheva M.A., M.D., Professor Nurmaganov S.B., M.D., Assistant Professor Zhaparov A.M., Candidate of Medical Science, Zimareva N.V., Candidate of Medical Science, and others).
Negametzyanov Nurislam Garifzyanovich – Doctor of Medicine, Head of the Dentistry Department, PEI KNMU. He was born in 1973. In 2002 he successfully presented a thesis for an academic title of the Candidate of Medical Science. In 2004 he was appointed as a head of docent course of pediatric dentistry in Almaty State Medical Refresher Institute. In 2005 participated in development of methodology of use of periodical Protocols of prevention, diagnostics and therapy of dental diseases, as well as methodology of use of outpatient rater of dental services by dental institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Negametzyanov N.G. developed the Programme for Primary Prevention of main dental diseases among organized contingent of child population of Almaty for 2009 – 2013. In 2010 he was appointed as a Head of Dentistry Course in the Centre of Continuous Education of KAZNMU after S.D. Asfendiyarov. In 2011 after establishment of the Dentistry Department was appointed as Head of the Department.
Starting from 2007 he is a Chief Extraordinary Pedodontist of the Ministry of Health of the RK, since 2011 he is the Chief Dentist of Health Administration of Almaty.
In 2010 he presented doctoral thesis on “Organization of medical and social rehabilitation of children with inborn and genetical maxillo-facial area patology”.
He published over 50 scientific works, 6 guidelines for physicians and students, developed education programmes for vocations of “Doctor-stomatologist-orthodontist” and “Doctor pedodontist” that were included into the basic of aftergraduate education of pedodontists in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He continuously raises his professional level in Kazakhstan and CIS countries, Germany, Turkey and Moscow, Russia.
Supiev Turgan Kurbanovich – M.D., Professor of Dentistry Department of Postgraduate Education Institute under KazNMU, member of the Academy of Preventive Medicine, Distinguished worker of Kazakhstan. He was born in 1942. In 1959 he graduated from the school after S.M. Kirov with gold medal in Zharkent city. In 1965 he graduated cum laude the department of dentistry of Kazakh National Medical University.
All his work, scientific and social activity is related with the KazNMU after S.D. Asfendiyarov (from senior laboratory assistant to professor). In 1972 he presented his master’s thesis and in 1984 his doctoral thesis. From 1988 to 2011 he was in charge of the Department of Children Dentistry. From 1992 to 2005 he was Head Extraordinary Pedodontist of Public Health Ministry, from 1998 to 2006 he was Deputy Director for Scientific Work of “Stomatology”, the Republican Scientific In-Patient Center under the Public Health Ministry of RK, from 2002 to 2006 he worked as expert of the State commission for academic degrees and titles under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1991 to 2010 he worked as academic secretary, deputy chairman, member of dissertation board on stomatology under KazNMU. In 1998 he established and until 2010 worked as a Chief Editor of Problemy Stomatologiy republican magazine and Stomatologia-Kazakhstan professional newspaper. He is a member of editorial board of the following magazines: Stomatologia detskogo vozrasta i profilaktika (Moscow), Stomatologia (Minsk), Mir Stomatoloiy (Astana), Morfologia i dokazatelnaya meditsina (Almaty).
Within 47 years of creative work under the auspices of Professor Supiyev T.K. up to 50 doctoral and master’s theses have been presented. Personally and in co-authorship he published over 400 scientific works (articles, monographies, study guides, and etc.), he was a member of editorial board of 10 and chief editor of over 20 collections of scientific papers. Professor Supiev T.K. is excellent worker of Public Health of USSR, he was awarded Diplomas of Merit from Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Education and Science, Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, President of RK, medals, award winner of “Ilkham” (small Tarlan) and others. In 2007 he was became a Honorary Citizen of Panfilov District.
